Urban Art Sims 3 CC: A Tribute to New York City

As I sat down to create a new Sims 3 community lot, I couldn't help but wonder why I didn't choose a more 'New-Yorky' location. The answer is simple - it's because this world has been over two years in the making, and I wanted something that felt like somewhere special.

Sims 3 players are familiar with Maxis city worlds, but let's face it, they can be a bit... generic. That's why I set out to create a world that captures the essence of New York City, without being tied to specific neighborhoods like DUMBO, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Long Island City, or Astoria.

In Sims 3 CC: Boroughsburg, you'll find a unique blend of urban grittiness and hipster charm. Local diners serve up classic fare like gyros, pierogies, and matzo ball soup, while cultural centers offer a taste of the city's diverse heritage. Meet old timers, dance the night away at live music venues, or explore atmospheric cobblestone streets lined with trendy lofts and offices.

Inspired by the industrial landscape of Manhattan from the waterfront, Boroughsburg combines the rough-around-the-edges feel of working-class New York with the rarefied hipsterdom of its trendier neighborhoods. It's a world that straddles the line between grit and glamour, where Sims can thrive in their own unique way.
