Upper Darby, PA - A disturbing case has come to light in Delaware County as a Philadelphia-area woman has been charged with animal cruelty after posting videos of herself torturing and killing animals on social media. Inigar Monsee, 28, of Upper Darby, was charged with four felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals - torture, according to Delaware County court records.

The investigation began when an animal rights group alerted authorities about the videos posted on YouTube, which allegedly show Monsee torturing and killing various animals, including frogs, a rabbit, a pigeon, and a chicken. The videos were posted live and showed Monsee repeatedly commenting on the number of viewers and likes, as well as soliciting more, before harming the animals.

Detectives interviewed Monsee and confirmed that the kitchen in her apartment was identical to the one shown in the most recent video. The Upper Darby police department received a complaint about the videos on Friday and launched an investigation.

Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt of the Upper Darby police department told the Delaware County Daily Times that the animal rights group alerted authorities about the disturbing content. 'We take all allegations of animal cruelty seriously, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that those responsible are held accountable,' Bernhardt said.
